Pay or Quit Notice

So last night i came home to find a note on my door that say pay or quit! WTF!?!? It stats that we owed $80 for our rent. So let me take you back a month to when we very first moved in. We moved in a week before July 1st and were told on the 1st of July we would have to pay that weeks difference which would be $126. OK that's fine we wanted to move a week early. So on the 1st we pay the $126. No even 3 days later we come home to a pay or quit notice on the door. We were like whats going on we payed. So the following day we go to the office show our receipt that we payed. They tell us that it was a mistake on their behalf and we actually have a credit of $80 dollars! We were ecstatic! So knowing we had a credit we knew we just were going to pay less on this months rent! Now back to last night. The notice says we owe $80 and were so frustrated and confused. We only have been living here barley two months and have been almost kicked out twice. So we go up to the office and let the girl up there have it. She then proceeds to tell us that the girl who told us we were credited the money was mistaken and that we weren't charged for our application fee and even though we paid for it, it hadn't gone through yet and that's why the other lady thought we had a credit! So then continues to tell us we owe the $80 immediately. Well unfortunately we don't have that money until i get paid on the 16th but they said they latest we can turn it in is the 15th. Of course! So we tell them that they really need to get their shit together because non of this is our fault but they are acting like it is and that we are bad tenants! So we are documenting all of this for the future, so when we move and they try to say we were late or anything like that we have proof. Great living are and great rent price but management, well not much to say about them, The girls are nice but seriously how can you work up there and not know what your doing. Enough of that rant.
